Concrete driveways are
very durable and log lasting. But years of usage and heavy transportation takes
its toll on the driveway surface. Though replacing a concrete driveway is
expensive but there are some sign that tells you that your concrete driveway
needs to be replaced and you should not overlook it.
1-Deep
Cracks
Deep cracks in your
driveway look very unsightly. Asphalt and concrete driveways usually develop cracks
with time. The small cracks can be repaired and filled in, however, the
repaired crack looks darker than the overall driveway. But the deep and wide
cracks cannot be repaired. Long-time use, ice and salt to thaw it penetrate
into the crevices of the driveway and damage it. Big cracks are useless to
repair as it will only be for a short time. Thus, replacing your concrete
driveway is the last option with deep cracks.
2-Potholes
Potholes are a sure
sign that replacing your imprinted concrete driveway is the last option you
have left with. Potholes not only collect the water and turn in to mini puddles
but also cause bump when you drive on it. These bumps in the concrete driveways
can result in damage to your car. Therefore, replacing your driveway is better
than replacing your car.
3-Weathered
Appearance
Long exposure to UV
rays affects the appearance of imprinted concrete driveway. With time the
concrete driveway starts to look old, rough and weathered. It is a sign to
replace it with a new one, because the UV rays has not only robbed its luster
but also have shaken its base.
